PHOTOGRAPHY MARCELO KRASILCIC
IN CELEBRATION OF HIS NEW BOOK, PHOTOGRAPHER MARCELO KRASILCIC UNVEILS AN EXHIBITION AT COLETTE PARIS. PREVIEW THE PAST WITH THESE '90s TREASURES FROM HIS TWO-PART ODYSSEY
Marcelo Krasilcic migrated to the United States in 1990 from Brazil to study photography, so it's as reasonable a jumping off point as any for the photographer to begin to catalog his stark yet emotionally compelling oeuvre. Launching this month in conjunction with an exhibition that moves from OSMOS in the East Village to Colette Paris, 1990s is a clothbound two-volume book that contains his signature photos of wild youths, downtown artists, designers, and musicians—everyone from Maurizio Cattelan and Chloë Sevigny to the band Everything But the Girl.
Check out the exhibit in Paris through March 30, and preview some of what the inventive and cool monograph has to offer in a slideshow above.
