Elizabeth and James had a My So Called Life-y look going on—possibly a reference to the twins' early sitcom years—while Balmain stayed in the 1980s soap opera range. Anne Valérie Hash, similar to much of Costume National this season, was having an almost monochromatic blue period. Damir Doma and Kenzo were focused on proportion, but that didn't keep the latter from playing with some signature patterns. Marni's coolest looks were the youthful, layered ones, and Maison Martin Margiela still have a few tricks up their elongated sleeves.

Trends to watch: A faux modesty, which can appear to be a big scoop and reveal almost nothing, and true showboating, à la the infamous Angelina Jolie red carpet leg.
