MORE TO LOVE
Michael Pitt—actor, musician, sensitive brooder—couldn't possibly have predicted the Sandy-torn mess his home base of New York would have looked like when he and Amelia Ohnimus started to make his latest film project, Summon It. The theme, though, is fitting for this darkened Halloween. On a night when the lower half of Manhattan is without power and a curfew of 7pm is set, Pitt premieres his video via Facebook invite, with the cryptic message: "This is our Halloween." In it, Pitt and an adolescent girl amble through weathered houses and a trash fire, looking at once despearate and bored. If there's one thing he can do well, Pitt can sum up the squelched emotion of a generation in that longing stare.
