WELCOME TO VMAGAZINE.COM'S NEWEST SEGMENT, IN WHICH "V READ" (AND V DO!). FOR THE PREMIERE INSTALLMENT, MODEL MISSY RAYDER READS THE GRIPPING PSYCHODRAMA, LADY OF THE BEASTS, BY ARIONE DE WINTER, AND MODELS FOR A SHOOT INSPIRED BY ITS CHARACTERS
This is a story of obsession, betrayal, revenge, and redemption. It is about the mystery of the human mind, and how the living and the dead cross over from one dimension to another and are in a continuous dialogue that informs us of this mystery. We want to participate in it and to live it more fully, to overcome our fear of the dark, and as we wander through it—our darkness—we realize that we cannot live without it. What is more, we do not want to.
What seems strange becomes familiar, as if we had always known it. We want to linger in it, and then to live it. We let ourselves, for a single moment, and another, until we are part of the tale. We are on the couch with the dead. We come alive, and know what we did not know before. Every fear becomes an adventure into the unknown. We have no fear. Fear becomes love, and the darkness the light. We step lightly through unexplored spheres, want to go higher, and then make the descent to the lower regions, where life and death are one.
