In these oversaturated times, Stockholm-based synth-pop group Kate Boy understands the value of less is more. While their music—a perfect combination of old school Peter Gabriel electro tracks and the grating darkness of The Knife— might rattle your senses, the band adheres to a straightforward monochromatic aesthetic. The videos for their Northern Lights EP were strictly art directed in black and white with all four members of the band, by and large, kept in the shadows.
This November, HUGO BOSS will shine the spotlight directly on the stylish newcomers, who are scheduled to perform internationally with the brand’s “HUGO Tracks on Tour” series. For five months, Kate Boy will bring their no-nonsense athleticism and Euro-worthy dance vibes to select cities around the world. Together, HUGO BOSS and Kate Boy will blur the lines between music, art, and fashion— something, fortunately, that’s never black and white.
