IN THE NAME OF NEW DISCOVERIES, KRUG CHAMPAGNE HOSTS A NIGHT DEDICATED TO CREATIVE EXPLORERS
Last Thursday on the Upper East Side, we, along with guests like Marina Abramović, Adrien Grenier, Inez & Vinoodh, Marco Brambilla, Dustin Yellin, Alexander Gilkes and US Brand Director for Krug Champagne, Carl Heline were happy to toast to an unforgettable, exploration-themed dinner.
“We were pleased to work together with our friends [East Pole restaurant founders] Philip [Winser] and Ben [Towill], to conceive an evening that encourages curiosity and adventure, truly capturing the overall vision and maverick spirit of our founder, Joseph Krug,” said Heline, of the night.
As the champagne flowed at East Pole, the first annual Creative Explorers Dinner was held. Abramović led the group in a blind champagne tasting (with detailed tasting notes), and a pile of "explorer" apparel, from snow shoes to captain's hats, was rifled through in the costume booth while Polaroid captured the most exploratory looks. It's good to know New York is still interested in discovering uncharted territories, and that brands like Krug are willing to support these efforts—in art and otherwise. Who knows? Maybe we haven't seen anything yet.
