NEW YORK CITY'S BELOVED MEMBERS-ONLY ENCLAVE PULLED OUT THE BIG GUNS FOR A 10TH ANNIVERSARY BASH
Isn't it hard to believe that Soho House is only ten years old? It feels like it's been a part of New York City's DNA forever—a charm that it was conceived to embody from the start. "The moment we opened our doors back in 2003, we were warmly welcomed," said founder Nick Jones, recalling the stateside launch (London's own Soho House preceded ours, having opened in 1995). In ten short years the private members' club, venue, and hotel has carved an inimitable niche, providing a home away from home to members of the creative community.
To celebrate it's big birthday, the House welcomed guests including Jennifer Connelly, Kyle McLachlan, Imogen Poots, Carey Mulligan, Jenna Lyons, Gina Gershon, Morgan Spurlock, Alan Cumming to party by the pool, where a surprise performance by Mumford & Sons ensued to a riotous reception. John Legend took the stage afterward for another surprise performance, singing "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" with an unknown singer. For images from the event, click the slideshow above.
