Yesterday, James Franco announced his new TV series James Franco Presents... And if its anything like the videos he's been producing, directing and starring in for Gucci this summer, we're in.
As we've stated before (and as everyone from the mainstream to the avant-garde art scene has witnessed), James Franco is a modern-day renaissance man. He does it all—and we mean everything, which means he's not above TV and commercials. As the spokesperson for Gucci, he's been spotted wearing some sharp new suits lately, starring in amazing ads like the one above, shot by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn, and even getting in on the Q&As in the making-of videos (he has time for it—he'll just write his lesson plans and study for his next role between takes). Franco will bring a writing teacher's instruction to an acting gig, an action scene's experience to a short story, or a real-life memory to an ad. "When I put this on, it makes me feel like a man," he says in the clip above. After all the thought that's cleary gone into that statement, honestly, we're convinced.
