Of course Raf Simons’ first Resort collection for Dior turned it out. Following a storyline he started upon arriving at the house last Spring season, the girls at the Paris Cruise '14 show looked put together and office-appropriate, even in bathing suit bottoms and unzipped bodices with pleated trains. The color scheme is still an iridescent pastel with a Day-Glo vegetable (tomato, beet and carrot) or cobalt, blocked into a black and white shift or suit. The line is almost era-less, the shapes slightly seeing 1990s (midriff-baring tops, waist-less summer dresses), the colors 1980s album covers, and the cuts and shoes a flapper from today.
