Bruce Bellas, aka Bruce of Los Angeles, is known for his nude photography and his pioneering role in eroticizing the male form; he is credited as influential to greats Robert Mapplethorpe and Bruce Weber. His newest monograph, which launched yesterday evening at Acne Studios, shows a new side—a softer side—of the beefcake-enthusiast. Bruce of Los Angeles Rodeo depicts the real cowboy of the 1960s and 70s between shows at real rodeos, not the stylized body builder in a studio. Curated by Vince Aletti, the book is a rich addition to Acne's collection, and will be available to buy May 23rd, and available to order online now, along with this fantastic "rodeo" mens collection!
