In a new series, we shine the spotlight on one model and transform her from natural to supernatural

In a new series of Model Makeovers, V choose one model and photograph her twice—once in her normal clothes as she walks in the door, then again once she has been completely transformed via hair, makeup, and a fresh set of threads. In our first installment, Norwegian stunner Sophia Lie from FORD NY. Voilà the amazing transformative power of fashion!

Hometown: Oslo, Norway

Discovered: I was at Law School for some time in Norway. I had a friend that was modeling at the time who pushed me to move to New York and start my career.

Favorite food: Café Habana. It's the best! I eat there every day.

Favorite drink: Raspberry margaritas from Barrio Chino!

What is your earliest fashion memory? I used to go to the opera with my mom when I was five, and I remember seeing the beautiful gowns that the women would wear. It really inspired me.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? Maybe, in journalism...
